Hi,

It's almost spring! Now is the time to be preparing for the primary breeding season for most of our finch species. Aviaries need to be cleaned, brush needs to be replaced, leafy greens need to be planted, and breeding pairs need to be formed.

With COVID lockdowns persisting and—in Victoria's case—worsening, we should have a bit of extra free time this year to give 100% to our finch breeding efforts. Finch addicts have no problem staying in their backyard for days on end!

Activity on Aussie Finch Forum has ramped up in the last couple of weeks, and we're excited to welcome back even more participants as the weather continues to get warmer.

As always, stay safe, and we'll see you next time!

Upcoming bird sales

Honestly, we should probably just do away with this newsletter section for a while—bird sales seem to be getting further and further away.

There's an idea in my head for "virtual" bird sales; if you've got any ideas for how this could be accomplished, or are affiliated with a bird club that's interested in exploring this further, I'd love if you could reply to this email and we'll chat.
